Singing in German: Moving beyond the diction class

BRIAN ROBERTS is one of Canada's most published scholars in music education with more that 150 books, monographs and articles in major journals world-wide. In addition to his long-standing work in Canada as editor of the Canadian Music Educator, Dr. Roberts has made presentations in United States, Great Britain, Germany, and Austria. Dr. Roberts was recently invited to present a lecture tour of Swedish universities where he spoke to faculty and students at the universities in Pitea, Goteberg, and Stockholm. Dr. Roberts has also served recently as guest editor for the International Journal of Music Education. Dr. Roberts is an active tenor soloist and has recently performed both in Canada and in Europe. He is frequently heard on the CBC. Dr. Roberts holds doctoral qualifications in voice performance as well as in sociology.
