George R. Tibbetts, Institute for the Psychological and Pedagogical Study of Voice Performance
GEORGE R. TIBBETTS is currently the Chairperson and Executive Secretary of the Institute for the Psychological and Pedagogical Study of Voice Performance a non-profit organization incorporated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has been a presenter at a number of scholarly meetings, including those of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics, the International Society for Phenomenology, Aesthetics and the Fine Arts, the International Society for Phenomenology and Literature and the 1997 Festival 500 academic symposium. The paper that he presented at the last-named conference was printed as part of the proceedings of that conference. His other publications include contributions to Analecta Husserliana, one of the annual publications of the World Phenomenology Institute. Dr. Tibbetts is also editor of the IPPSVP Intelligencer, a bi-monthly newsletter and the Voice Pedagogy Index, an annual index of periodical articles and other material in the field of voice pedagogy and related fields. Both of the last-mentioned publications are published by the Institute for the Psychological and Pedagogical Study of Voice Performance. Dr. Tibbetts holds the B.A. in psychology from Boston University and the Ed.D. in music and music education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
