Mary Lynn Morrissey, University of Wisconsin
MARY LYNN MORRISSEY holds a B.Mus.Ed. degree from Luther College and a M.Mus. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently working on her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as teaching several music education courses and supervising practicum students. A former middle school vocal and general music teacher, Mary teaches piano and voice to at-risk students who attend Project Bootstrap. She has toured both nationally and internationally with the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus under the direction of Doreen Rao, the Nordic Choir under the direction of Weston Noble, and the Concert Choir of the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the direction of Beverley Taylor. In May 2000, Mary Lynn was invited to teach at the University College of St. Martin, Lancaster, England. She is the Children’s Music Director at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Madison, Wisconsin, and is a member of ACDA and MENC. Her research interests include vocal health issues as related to teachers and singers.
