JANE LEIBEL is an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland's School of Music. She holds a D.M.A. degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, a M.Mus. from North Texas State and an Opera Diploma from the University of Toronto. Jane won first prize in the Eckhardt-Grammate National Voice Competition for the performance of Canadian and twentieth century music. Her performing experience includes operatic and concert appearances with the Toledo Opera Company, Opera Pacific, Vancouver Opera, Manitoba Opera, Opera Atelier and Opera in Concert.
