C. Jane Gosine, Memorial University of Newfoundland
C. JANE GOSINE is an Assistant Professor in the School of Music at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed an undergraduate degree in music at the University of St. Andrews, and completed a master's degree and doctorate at the University of Cambridge. Before moving to Canada, Jane held a Research Fellowship at St. Edmund's College, Cambridge. Her research interests include the sacred vocal music of the 17th-century French composer, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, and his French contemporaries; the sacred music of English Renaissance composers, particularly that of Orlando Gibbons; and general issues related to performance practices in Renaissance and Baroque music. Jane has worked as a consultant with a number of leading early music groups, including Les Arts Florissants, London Baroque, the Yorkshire Bach Choir, Trevor Pinnock, John Eliot Gardiner, and Ton Koopman.
