Cissy Goodridge, Appleby College, Oakville, ON
CISSY GOODRIDGE is the Director of Arts at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, where she teaches instrumental, vocal and midi-music to grades 7 to 12. Goodridge is also a member of the Toronto-based choral group, The Nathaniel Dett Chorale which has recently completed a documentary film on the famous Canadian composer. Goodridge graduated from The University of Western Ontario and has since gone on to study at Berklee College of Music (Boston) and The University of Victoria (British Columbia) where she has completed her Master’s degree in Music Education. In 1994 and 1995 Goodridge was nominated for a JUNO award and a Much Music video award for her work as the lead vocalist of the pop group Oval Emotion. She has been a guest conductor at the Toronto Independent Music Festival at Roy Thompson Hall in 1996 and 1998. Currently, Goodridge resides in Oakville, Ontario, where she maintains an active musical career of performing, teaching, and conducting.
