Still Singing for our Lives: Singing in the Everyday Lives of Women through this Century

Is singing a dying art in Ontario? Much has been speculated about the roles of radio, television, urbanization, and the rise of expert performers in the demise of singing in people's lives. I decided to examine this phenomenon through the
stories of women. Singing is my life line. It seemed fitting, at the close of this century, to investigate singing in other women's lifelines and lifetimes through the last hundred years.
