PAUL GUISE is an arts consultant, conductor and music educator living in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Primary research interests include music/arts business education, arts education policy development, curriculum analysis, intellectual property rights, and the group dynamics of the musical ensemble, with a particular emphasis on small choirs. He is currently engaged in the development of a distance-based Masters curriculum in music business, and is host of www.BusiMusic.ca , an online business resource for musicians. His recently completed doctoral dissertation is entitled, Music Business Education in Canada: a census and developmental template.

ROBERT FAULKER has lived and worked in Iceland for almost two decades. He is a music educator, clinician, choral conductor and researcher and has taught at all levels from kindergarden to postgraduate study. Part-time lecturer in music education at the University of Akureyri in Iceland, head of a small community music school, vice-chairman of the Icelandic Music Schools Instrumental Examinations Board, and joint author of the Icelandic National Curriculum for Music 6-16, Roberts main research interests span music education, psychology and sociology and include men's vocal behaviour and identity, children's creativity and composing, and world musics in the classroom. Robert is musical director of Karlakinn Hreimur, a large male-voice choir based in northeast Iceland.
