Jenny Boyack, Massey University, Palmerston North

JENNY BOYACK is a Senior Lecturer in Music Education at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. She has had extensive teaching experience in all education sectors. In 2001 and 2002 she was seconded to lead a team of arts educators in the delivery of Professional Development programs to schools in the central region of the North Island. Her academic and research interests include vocal development, choral music, professional development of teachers and communities of learners. Jenny is actively involved in the musical life of the region. She is organist and choir director at All Saints’ Anglican Church, and directs the Manawatu Youth Choir and a children’s community choir, Rose City Songsters. She also sings in a local chamber choir ‘d’Chorum’. She provides workshops for teachers in all aspects of music education and is in demand as an accompanist, guest conductor and choral commentator.
