: Call for Applications - Editor (Volume 10 - 2019)

DEADLINE EXTENDED: December 16, 2018

Mapping Politics is now accepting applications for a co-editor for volume 10. Together, the co-editors shape the
journal by setting journal policy and coordinating all aspects of the journal process. This is a great opportunity for senior undergraduate and graduate students to demonstrate their
organizational and leadership skills in preparation for  entering the workforce or continuing their education.

In 2019, Mapping Politics will be celebrating its tenth volume and as we look back on ten years of student publishing, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the journal for the next ten years! As co-editor, you will gain new insights into academic publishing as you help facilitate and oversee the double-blind peer-review process, recruit and train reviewers, and make editorial decisions. You will also gain highly transferable  skills in project management, supervision and communications as you help establish and implement the annual work plan, coordinate volunteer teams and work with stakeholders to promote the journal.

The ideal candidate is a senior undergraduate or masters student who is highly organized, motivated and familiar with political science scholarship. The co-editors are required to be students at Memorial University of Newfoundland upon appointment. Applicants should expect the role to begin in early 2019.
