Stephanie Martin, York University, Toronto, ON

STEPHANIE MARTIN is Assistant Professor at York University in Toronto where she teaches musicianship and conducting, leads the Early Music Ensembles as well as the Women’s Chorus. With Pax Christi Chorale, an 80 voice oratorio choir she has conducted major works with orchestra, including Brahms German Requiem, Elgar's Dream of Gerontius and Bach's St. John Passion. For 11 years she was Organist and Director of Music at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Toronto. As a performer on harpsichord and baroque chamber organ, she can be heard on several recordings on the Naxos and Marquis labels, as well as 5 self-produced CD recordings of choral and chamber music.
