Author Biography

Marian Dolan, The Choir Project, Naples, FL

Dr. Marian Dolan is the Founding Artistic Director of The Choir Project (Naples, FL), whose mission is "to build community chorally" through various collaborative choral projects with local, national and international ensembles and organizations. She is also the conductor of the Project's new Lumina women's vocal ensemble. Dr. Dolan is a graduate with honors from Sweet Briar College, she holds an M.A. in musicology from Boston University, and M.M.A. and D.M.A. degrees from Yale University School of Music where she received the university's first choral conducting doctorate granted to a woman.
