Focus and Scope

It is important to note that all submissions must take the form of either a) a research paper; or b) a book review. Opinion pieces, rants, journalistic pieces, and the like will not be accepted by the Journal. The Journal’s editors will automatically reject all papers that are do not meet these requirements, without sending them for peer-review.

Peer Review Process

All submissions to Mapping Politics undergo double-blind peer-review by an editorial review board, put together by the editorial team (although editors themselves do not sit on the editorial review board). The editorial board changes every year, and the names of board members will not be released until after the review process has been completed. 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
